OK, so I wqas gonna play some videogames till my wonderful
sassy_mollassey got here, but My Cousin Vinny came on comedy central and I got sucked into watching it. This movie so rocks. So, I figured I may as well update while I'm watching, so here we go.
Monday-Woke up, sat around a bit, my Dad has been bugging me about applying at Unos, so I went to do that and figured I'd go to EB and trade in some of the crappy games I got with my XBOX. So, did the application thing, then headed to EB. I was trading in Cat in the Hat, Extreme Beach Volleyball, Ghost Recon, Madden 2004, and Silent Hill 4. I didn't expect to get much from them, and I probbaly wouldn't have, except luckily I hate stickers and crap being on my cases so when I got the new crappy games with my XBOX I took those cases(with out the stickers) and switched them for my good game cases(with the cases). So, now, I had games such as Cat in the Hat in a case with barcode stickers for SW: KOTOR II: TSL. It had the right games and covers and books in them, just the plastic case was different and happened to have stickers for a different game on there. So what's the point of explaining all that? WELL, SW: KOTOR II: TSL is worth alot more than Cat in the Hat and since it had the wrong barcode on it it rang up as the wrong game. I don't know if the cashier guy realized it or not, but if not then that's their loss. I got $47 for games that were probably worth maybe $20.
So, anyway, now I got $47 in store credit and go to find games to get. I decided on The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, with my store credit and 10% discount on used games I got those 2 and still had like $3 left. Flippin Sweet. Went home and started Morrowind. I heard a damned lot about the game and how it's supposed to be one of the best RRPGs ever made and its supposed to be over 200 hours long and the most extensive game ever created. Sounded real fun. Well, first it took me almost an hour to design my charcater then anotehr hour to learn how the game works and get shit started. Anyway, I finally get the game going and it was pretty retarded. Yeah it's the most extensive game ever made, why? Because its liek 45 minutes between each town, placing towns hundreds of miles apart and putting nothing between them DOES make a game huge, but doesn't necesarily make it fun. So, yeah, played for a bit, finally after 3 hours or so I finally get to the place I was told to go at the begining of the game and talk to the guy I had to talk to. He tells me to go join some fighters guiild, so after like 30 minutes I find that place, and that dude tells me I need to get him this puzzle box before he'll let me join. So I go do that which takes like 45 minutes to get there and, I take it back to t he guy, he says "thanks, you're now in the fighters guild" then I talk to the guy who told me to join and he just says "good job". Um...ok. And the only reason I knew where to go during those times was because of a walkthrough. They game really gives you no clues of where to go. Someone tells you to go get a box for him in a world where it takes 45 minutes to walk between towns and you're supposed to know where to go? No wonder the game takes 200+ hours to finish. And also, between these towns there were only 2-3 enemies. so basically you walk for 45 minutes and only kill 3 enemies, which are near impossible to hit. This game definately has the worst battle system ever. So, after that I walk around another 30 minutes or so and I can't find out where to go. It's about now I decide the game is terrible and not worth my time. I then go and play some Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, which flippin rocks. Not the typical Zelda game, but its really fun, more puzzley type stuff than fighting, it's also a level based game as opposed to free romaing like most, but it's still uber fun. Played that most the night then sleep.
Tuesday-Woke up, went back to EB, turned in Morrowind and got Star Wars: Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time instead. Went home, played Prince of Persia all night, very good game, then at 10ish went to JDs with Jess and Dan. Nothin special, the usual haning out and drinking, fun times.
Wednesday-Woke up, went to an interview at Unos, went to Wal*Mart to get soe blank DVDs and some food, came home, ate lunch then decided to clean up my desk area since all my wires are getting tangled, I got so motivated by straightening I decided to do my entire room. I'm talking detailed cleaning, even lifted up my bed and and cleaned under there, cleaned my closet, cleaned out all my drawers, and I found about $10 in change, it was crazy. At about 7:30 I made dinner then watched Lost and HOLY SHIT. BEST EPISODE EVER. It was so good, lots of answers were given, but alot of questions were asked too, but sooooo good. DLed the episode, watched it again and played Zelda then sleep.
Thursday-Woke up, finished cleaning my room, burned some DVDs for Jennie, and went through every Lost episodes script to make an ultimate list of the number references, then sleep.
Today-Woke up, web stuff, now watching My Cousin Vinny and waiting for Jennie to get here. Once this is over I'm gonna play some Prince of Persia and wait more. Woot.
