That would be hard to manage from the coast, and there is no representation here. Also England is a world power and though the economy has been low I have no doubt it will bounce back.

I don't need land, I just need space. I can get hydroponics technology from Japan, and then hire the green researches who are getting ignored in America. Then when I switch over all currency to the Euro, I'll make trade easier and the economy equal to that of the rest of Europe.

I can't guarantee your protection, of course. The best time to strike a potential foe is when they're just beginning to expand, you know. Right after an acquisition of large territory-- that's when they're most vulnerable.
