So, yeah. After spending a nice relaxing weekend in Jersey with Joe and his friends, we did have the unfortunate experience of driving back in the dark and rain. And we had to listen to the Giants lose to boot. But, it was a good visit all in all. I got to play a bunch of DDR and got a bunch of music from Jack's. For all of you who have not been to that part of Jersey (a.k.a. Red Bank) Jack's is the place to go for any type of music you could want. It's a huge store to begin wiht, and it is jam packed. They've got a huge vynyls section and a kickin' used section. We picked up about 10 CD's for under $50 bucks. And as a sidenote, 8 1/2 souvenirs is a really cool band...we picked up a random album because it had cool artwork on the front and it was cheap. We figured at the very worst it's a cool story, but I ended up really liking the music; it's very mellow jazz, but not sleep-inducing.
Oh yeah, and we saw Bruce Springstein while we were there.
The part of all this that sucks is that every time we go up to visit, it's never long enough. And only one of the football teams that I wanted to win this weekend did so. And we took a wrong turn trying to get to the awesomeness that is the Dog House, and ended up driving through the backwoods swampy area of northern delaware. In places, there was nothing next to the road...it was swamp on either side of the road, with about maybe a foot to spare on either side. And having to go back to work always sucks.
But, I did get to see Buff. She's back from China, and full of stories and has lots of pictures. So it was really nice to see her all things considered. Again, problem being that she had to leave and that sucks; I just want her to hang out here with us and do all kinds of stupid crap like we used to do. Maybe a trip up to see her at grad school is in order.
