The door to my uncle's room is stuck. I'm laughing my ass of here in my little corner as the rest of the family is gathered around the door, with one of the house boys hammering at it. And then my mom is across the room playing her congas, and it's all very amusing.
I almost had a heart attack when my uncle (the one with the door) told me that we were going to leave tomorrow morning at 8:15. The All-Stars game is being broadcasted tomorrow morning here, since we're 12 hours ahead. So, yeah, I'm living in the future.
I'm rather antsy to get back home - they don't have the YES network here, or Chai lattes, so I am going through terrible withdrawal on both counts. They show some Yankee games on ESPN here, but it's mostly soccer and cricket; I had Thai iced tea in Bangkok, but really, nothing's the same at all. I miss everything about home; I even miss my car and it's non-automatic locks and windows.
I've started pronouncing "Nomar" as "Nomah." It's fun having a Boston accent. But I'm still taking my Derek Jeter cardboard cut-out with me to Holy Cross.
