Chapter 16 : Finale
“JESSICA!” Everyone cried out at the collapsing Jessica. Then she fell to the floor, blood spurted out of her chest as she lay there motionless.
“JESSICA!” Sungmin cried out again. Mr Lee was about to fire another shot but someone was quicker than him.
Donghae.
Bang!...
Silence then enveloped the atmosphere. Donghae dropped the gun in shock and fear. Then he shifted his gaze to his now dead father. He couldn’t believe he actually shot him in the head.
“D-d-d-donghae…” Yoona stammered in a shocked whisper, her face pale and tears running down her cheeks.
3 Years Later
“You are now husband and wife!” Ryeowook jumped up and down happily at the sight of Sooyoung and Kyuhyun fitting the rings onto each other’s finger. He had just returned from Italy after he had went there to pursue a fashion career.
Sungmin’s memory had came back. Not all, just part of it. Enough to make him realize that Sooyoung and Kyuhyun had been there was him all along, and that he had mistreated their feelings. He wouldn’t ask for Sooyoung’s love, it already made him happy enough that both his best friends were newly-weds, and he was the pianist for their wedding. Held in a church, simple and sweet, the beautiful melody of the piano flooded the area again. Yoona sang along, trying her best not to cry. Nothing about Jessica was mentioned again. It was a fact that she was gone. After all tears, they just had to accept it.
“I’ll go and visit Hae now,” Yoona hugged Sooyoung and gave her a smile.
“Tell him we will see him soon,” Kyuhyun quipped. Yoona hugged all of them and made her way to the prison. Donghae will be out soon. She just had to keep the faith.
