wow its been a while- so its LONG!
Wow...Its been a while since I blogged on live journal. sorry to those who check up on my life on this program.
Since it looks like the last time I wrote was when my Mother passed away, I thought I would let you all know that I am doing very well. I guess I just divuldge all my time into projects and what not, to keep from being melancholy. As I think I have mentioned in the past...I wasn't that close to my Mom, well not atleast the pass 8 years or so....but as we all can understand, its your Mom. You love her regardless, and it saddens me to know that I lost 8 years of her life, not really taking the time to know she was in pain, and that she was very sick. But I don't live life in regrets...All I can do is pray she forgives me, and try to close that book on my life.
Over the course of the year, I lost my best friend. Who knew it would be so hard for our friendship to withstand the 300 mile distance? I do have amazing friends here in Pasco...but there was something special about my and Steven's friendship. I can't explain it, and I can't replace it (not saying that i want too....) and all I can do is smile at the past and be greatful for what I had last year. Thats the best I can do...
I am a busy girl. During the summer I put in extra hours at the airport...and I am doing summer school. I also went to Camp Magruder and did MADD Camp (Music, Arts, Dance, and Drama)....not Mothers agains drunk driving...however if I was asked, I would go to that too! Tomorrow I am leaving for EWU's Jazz Dialogue Summer Camp. Its a week long Vocal/Instrumental jazz camp. its my 1st year helping out with it....but I am ecstatic! I will post on how that went.
When I get home from Camp, I am thrown into a Whirlwind of choreography/music rehearsals for the show "DreamGirls". I wasn't ethnic enough to land a leading role (even though I was told my Caz, I should have gotten one...vocally I was amazing, as for my blackness...haha!). But I just got the script, and the Ensemble is in 90% of the songs either on or off stage as back up singers...so it will be FINE! :)
*** IF you wanna come see the show, its the 1st 2 weekends of Sept...
School begins shortly after that (note to self, go get registered here soon! and finish your financial aid!) Its official...I am running sound for FF. I am excited and can't wait! its going to be an interesting year for me. I will probably get frusterated, because I don't know much about running sound, and vocally the group will be okay...so I will probably get frusterated listening (more or less because I will be watching FF instead of being in the group). its going to be a challenge...but I am totally looking forward to staying out of the drama to the best of my ability! Should be interesting!
Well its 6:45am and I didn't fall asleep until 3am, but I have been fighting acid reflux for like a week or so...and I woke up not feeling well. maybe I will try to go and nap on the couch, before i have to get up for my 9:45am shift at work? Who knows!
