(no subject)
Alrighty! I made it out here in one piece. Go me. Flying scares me, just a wee bit. Not too sure where that came from 'cause I used to fly all the time and it never bothered me. It's not the metal detectors nor all the people in close quarters. (Though, I've found you can learn a lot about people by what kind of socks they wear!) It's the idea of a hunk of metal welded and bolted together being hurtled through the sky at insane speeds.
First night here, the bed I'm sleeping in is crap. I hate it. The pillows are horrible too. I almost bought myself a pillow while I was out this morning, just so I could go to sleep. I must have lain in bed for hours last night, wondering why I couldn't sleep. I was tired, really, really tired but couldn't get comfortable. It doesn't help that it's a tiny bed and every time I rolled over, I almost rolled off the damn thing... argh... perhaps I can work something out...
Other than that, I didn't do anything yesterday but go out to dinner with my parents. And watch TV. Blargh. Everyone had something to do or something 'came up'. So, everyone wants to hang out tonight but I've already made plans tonight. Perhaps I can stuff everyone in my pocket and take them all home with me. Ha! Mini friends, bite size and tasty! Hahah!
I get to have lamb for dinner, with my pasta salad and my oriental /Cole-slaw salad. YUM!!! I'm so excited! hehehe! And then some other night, my mom made her spaghetti! Yay! Food makes me smile. Especially when mommy cooks it. =)
Just got off the phone with Jamie. She says that she's put on weight, which is good 'cause she was a twig and they bought the house they were living in. So, it sounds like her life is more stable now, which I'm happy about. She's got a party planned for me on Sat. night with all my old 4 wheeling buddies!
This is going to be an awesome vacation. Even if it did start out slow. And the view from the top of the mountain is clear and breathtaking--just as I remember it.
