highlights of christmas:
-locking my keys in my car.
-church, twice. i love church :-)there's nothing quite like a sermon from Rev. Rick. I want him to officiate my wedding if I ever get married.
-my family.
-playing foosball with my uncle and completely OWNING a 5 year old and an 8 year old at it.
-playing with batmobiles.
-knitting at the old folks home, aka my grandpa's house...ick.
-family confidence boosters "have you lost weight?" "you look GORGEOUS!" hahaha.
-my grandma's pecan pie
-my grandparents...i love them so much!!!
-seeing the people i went on mission trip with for the first time since june.
-my dogs and cats
-laughing my ass off with my family
-threatening my grandpa with decorating him if he fell asleep. we've done it in the past...several times. every time i opened a present with a bow on it i'd look at him, put it in my lap and say "this has your name on it if you dose off" and he'd give me the evil grandpa eye and then laugh...he's awesome.
-my parents making fun of me for locking my keys in my car and hiding my keys in the christmas tree...ohhhh sooooo funny.
-queen sized electric blanket...ohhh soo warm...ohhh sooo excited.
-getting not one, but two shovels for christmas. I think I like practical gifts more than anything, because it shows that the person really actually cares about you because they know more than just what you want, but also what you need.
-my drive back to GV. it started out pretty crappy. it took me 2 hours to get to Lansing, but once I got that far it stopped raining and I stopped being depressive and was able to go over 45 miles an hour. hooray! on the way home at first i was just bawling my eyes out about leaving my family. they're crazy and insane and all over the place but they're soooo awesome i can't even believe it.
ahh well, unfortunately i didn't get to see any friends, but hopefully i will next weekend when i get to come home for at least 3 days. hooray!!!!!!!! that'll be the longest i've been home since june!!! and there's so much good stuff planned! :-) i can't wait :-)
