Yeah I'm the same. I've had a video for years and completely run out of space but never got rid of it. But just recently the Left side of the headphone Jack completely bust, making it virtually impossible to use properly. I wanted a touch anyway so I just bought it to replace it.
losing one ear is a sad fault in ipods :( the same thing happened to my gen 1 shuffle, and my friend's touch, so i guess it's one of those inevitable apple faults
yeah, the same thing happened to my dads ipod as well, its caused by something being jostled and getting out of alignment inside apparently. sometimes if i hit it really hard or chucked it on the floor the other ear would come back in. But it is something they should work on. no one wants an iPad, just MAKE OUR IPODS RELIABLE!
