Dominion Answer

I recently posted a Dominion puzzle. If you haven't checked it out yet, you should because the rest of this will make no sense without first reading that.

My answer was Native Village/Watchtower/Chapel/Talisman, where the latter two are more "enablers" than anything else.

Here's how it played out. I opened with Chapel/Talisman, and started Chapel-ing the Copper/Estates and Talisman-ing more Talismans. Then, I bought all the Native Villages with Talismans and most of the Watchtowers the same way. I also bought Silver on one turn getting 4 Silver into my deck.

The crux of the combo is laying down a bunch of native villages, putting a bunch of cards in your Village Pile and then playing Watchtower to draw your hand back to 6. Lather, rinse, repeat. When you're down to your last village (or have drawn your entire deck), take all the cards from the Village Pile. With this I was able to draw my entire deck reliably every turn.

Then, at the end of every turn I would be guaranteed to have my 4 Silver (having trashed by Talismans earlier) with which to buy a Province. As Adam, noticed, there aren't any buys, so this is the best you can do on any given turn.

Another nice thing about this deck is at the end of any given turn I had my deck in my hand, so I could so things like decide that the Talismans were dead weight and trash all 4 at once. It's also fairly robust in terms of getting the combo started, especially if you can leave a Watchtower in your Village Pile at the end of the turn. With just a native village (or several) in hand, you can play them all, and then draw up to six with your retrieved Watchtower. The only cards in the deck that don't enable the combo are the 4 Silver and the bought Provinces.

I can also see why Vault was included in so many answers. It's possible I wouldn't have even needed the 4 Silvers if I could have gotten the Vault and enough cards in my hand. As amusing as it would be to reliably get a Province without treasure cards in my deck, I think Vault's cost is prohibitive. I don't think I had a 5 buy all game until the very end when got the 4 Silver and started buying Provinces.

Because I know some of you are curious, this beat my opponent's strategy of Chapel/Big Money.
