The Curse of thumbie

I think Planarity might give Minesweeper a run for its money as my personal favorite mindless clicky game. Really truly spectacular. I am so glad that I did not discover this game while at work.

I don't know if it is a record along the people reading this entry, but I got up to level 15 ... thus far. Perhaps I should post to funwiki ;). For all those Thomases out there, there are the (obviously doctored) screenshots after beating levels 10-14.
Depending on the challenges offered, I may be forced to play more.

My only real complaint about the game is the UI. Mainly I want three things (roughly in order of preference):
  1. Click and drag selection of many points so that I can move swaths of them at once.
  2. Be able to choose what level you start at, so that you don't have to go all the way back to level 1 every time that you want to play.
  3. Mouse-over neighbor highlight. I think I am developing an RSI from holding my mouse button down to see all the neighbors.
Maybe I'll try emailing the author to see if I can get the source and maybe make these modifications myself.
