It's been a quick minute since I've posted an entry. So much has happened over the past year. I'm now playing with my project Social Dispute. Basically i wrote a handful of songs in Sept 2016, wrote some more in the early months of 2017. Then recorded 5 songs with Tino on March 12, 2017. I later went back to re-do the vocal tracks on March 19. I liked them so much that over the next week i wrote a bunch more Social Dispute songs. Then we did a second recording session April-May 2017? I cannot remember the exact date. I played guitar, bass and vocals, he played drums on the tracks. Anyways, i had it pressed on LP which came in Oct 2017. We played one show in Sept 2017 opening for Battalion Of Saints, the line up was me on bass/vocals, Scrib on Guitar, and Tino's girlfriend Anna on drums. Our set was rough, but we managed to get through it. Later in December 2017 Scrib and I started jamming with Alex Ruscansky on drums. It was a fitting line up, we actually started sounding like a band. We played our first show with this lineup at Obrien's Pub in Allston, MA. We have played several shows since between ME, MA, and NH. For a moment the band almost fell to pieces a few weeks ago after something that happened with Scrib and I at work. But everything is good now, and nobody is leaving the band. Had to cancel 2 of our shows we had for June though. At the time it didnt seem like we would have a full lineup to play them. But like i said, we are all set now. We still have a show in July, and 3 for August. Still plenty of shows for the summer. I've even hired Tino to set us up a week long tour in October. The guys are very loyal to the band which is awesome, always show up for practice, even if we can only jam for 45 minutes before work. We even recorded a couple songs April 27th,2018 one song "Blood Sucker" is for a compilation which we were asked to be on, the second song is a cover of Circle Jerks "Beverly Hills". The compilation is being put out by this younger guy named David from CT, I met him at a show we played in April in Northampton, MA. He heard of us and drove from CT to watch us play. I'm really glad to be doing this band, im glad i have two talented friends to play with.
10 years ago i was 19. I cannot believe its been a decade since those days. Lingering memories of people and times from the past still flood my mind on a daily basis. I hold onto those memories very tightly, i hope i never forget them, i hope they never become vague.
