I'm not sure if I even told the whole story about the Ear Bleeds mini tour? Perhaps I gave the full story. I cant remember to be honest hahaha. Just thought I would log onto this because I'm bored, plus I have a few things to say.

We played a last minute show last Monday at Fury's Bar in Dover. We got added a few hours earlier. The show was actually great. We played with A Minor Revolution, and OC 45 (Who were and still are on tour). I even whipped up a quick flyer and posted it around the outside of the bar. OC 45 really blew me away. Their sound was not lame like I thought they would sound. It was more street punk than anything else I could describe it by. Maybe more like street punk, with a few songs that had a hint of Rancid or old style Dropkick Murphy's. I traded some Ear Bleeds merch and made of with a CD from both bands, and an OC 45 patch. The patch is now on Dylan's sweatshirt. I made him a sweatshirt covered in patches. Its my attempt at making him look somewhat punk. It has a NOFX back patch that I screened along with some other "Skate Punk" and "Pop Punk" type bands like Lagwagon, Anti Flag, The Queers. I even threw a Casualties patch on it, basically my special little touch. I put an armband type thing around one sleeve. Its made from red plaid fabric, and has another NOFX patch on it. A smaller one, with a different logo. So I got him spruced up for the group shot for the upcoming 7" record. Which leads me to......

Nate is paying to put out an Ear Bleeds 7". He's always wanted to be on vinyl. he first approached me with the idea about a month ago. He thought it would be cool if we did a record with all punk covers that we love. He would sing them, and Dylan and I would be the backing band. Then it changed to just doing 4 covers plus 2 original Ear Bleeds songs. All of which would still be sung by Nate. Then we scrapped that idea because of potential copyright issues. I came up with the excellent idea of doing a split with Public Nuisance. I'm using their first 1987 demo that Chris from Iconicide sent me, which would be put on one side. Then on the other side we would do 3 Ear Bleeds songs with Nate recorded live. I want to record them live since the Public Nuisance demo is terrible quality and would sound odd compared with out studio quality recordings. This is fucking amazing to me because im such a huge Public Nuisance fan. Plus I barely have to pay anything for it, im throwing Nate like 100 or 150 dollars for the record. On top of that, these are all Public Nuisance songs that nobody has ever really heard. The demo was never put out on CD, and most of the songs except for a couple were never re-recorded in an actual studio. To be honest I'm not even sure if the demo was put out on a cassette tape at the time to promote the band. I contacted Johnny V to ask for permission, and he said yes. He seems exited about it and very interested. We plan on pressing a total of 300 copies. 100 of which will be on clear vinyl with green splatter.

As for the Ear Bleeds... We have some upcoming shows. One is October 8th at Matthews Bar in Portland. It with a touring band from PA called Blood Red. It has the drummer from RAMBO. Tino asked me if I could help them out since he's on tour and cannot book them a show. Soon as he told me the band had an ex member of RAMBO I instantly said that I would book them something. I was hoping for an all ages show. But that's really hard around here, even in the great city of Portland. And it doesn't help that it's on a Tuesday night. The last show I booked at Matthews was pretty successful. I hope I can make a decent amount at the door to give the band, if not I might pay them a little out of pocket. I added Ultra//Negative to then show because I hope they can pull in some people who wouldn't normally come to a show that USA Waste And The Ear Bleeds are playing. Then we also have another show at tino's basement in Dover Saturday November 2nd. Its a homecoming show for the Cryptics. They just set off on a 3 week tour last Friday. We are playing, and naturally we have to open. He's such a dick because I always have at least 6 people that I bring. We deserve to be put on later in the show. Oh well, all the more reason to play and get it over with so we can get fucked up. This is the show that we will be recording the live songs for the upcoming 7" record.

Plus it's 2 entire years tomorrow that I saw the Vibrators at the Brick house. The show was like 5 or 6 bucks, so who ever booked it must have lost on the bands guarantee. Plus there was probably 25 people in the entire dover brick house, including people at the bar and the opening bands. Most of the opening bands left because it was so late. Some band members stuck around, but there were very few people paying out of pocket. They didn't even go on until about 12:30 AM. We didn't even catch their entire set. But they three songs I was very familiar that they played were Whips and Furs, Troops Of Tomorrow, and Amphetamine Blue. Good show, that's all I have to say, Too bad there wasn't more people there. I'm sure that was very disappointing to the band.
