This is my life.

Starring:
Me (here)
Paul (The head boss man in my lab who does no labwork and only writes grants for money)
Andy (recently became a principle investigator, or semi-boss-man, but can't get a cup of coffee without Paul's approval)
Cathy (older chemist/ELISA tech who dislikes everyone and will destroy your life should you look at her wrongly
Marco (Italian post-doc whom is a newer member in the lab than I but receives far preferntial treatment. Rolls eyes at Paul)

Oct. 13
Me to Paul: I'm hoping to get my data from Cathy (ELISA tech, chemist) before I have to give this seminar because otherwise none of the data in this is actually mine.
Paul to me: I'm sure it will be fine, that will be good.
Cathy to me: I'll be running your samples on about Oct 20th.
Me to Cathy: Awesome, TY TY TY. *bows down*
[Paul to Cathy: I'm rearranging your priorities. Do all of this other stuff first.]
[Repeat above line daily]
Me to Paul: Cathy should have my samples done next week, which will be good so I can put the data in my seminar.
Paul: Yes, that will be good.

Oct. 24
Me to Marco: I still don't have my samples run.
Marco to me: Paul has rearranged her schedule of things that need to run on ELISA. Just in case you didnt know.

Oct. 29
Me to Paul: I'm going to give my seminar at lab meeting in a few weeks
Paul to me: OK
Paul to Andy: Katie should present more at lab meeting.
Andy to me: Paul says you need to present more, even though this week is filled and next week is filled because Jen has a 73 page paper (sanctioned by Paul) to present and the week after you are giving your seminar.
Me to Andy: WTH? *puts together a presentation for tomorrow*
Andy to me: You can't go tomorrow. And you can't go next week. And we arent having lab meeting the week after, except now we are because you have to present your seminar. But Paul still wants you to present more often.
Me to me: ...But I still don't even have my data.
Marco to me: That sucks. Cathy is leaving town for a few days, too.

*headdesk*

On the up side of things, I read a paper today that referenced an article by a guy whose last name is Batman.
