Now, what kind of thing is that? How was I supposed to answer? They were my students. Children. All I was there to do was guide them in the right direction. They made their mistakes, and I made mine. But we both took the initiative to learn from them. Now Cory, Shawn, Topanga, Eric, and all of their other friends have all moved on with their lives. My wisdom will guide them until the day they die. Here I remain, same classroom, same town I’ve been in for years. Every new year I find a Cory, noble and true, a Shawn, reckless and daring, a Topanga, sweet and intelligent, and the occasional Eric, an enigma when it comes down to it. No matter what though they could never compare to the originals in whom they are mere clones of. No. In my life, those children will remain significant and even, dare I say it, special.
