yesterday morning, i woke up at 730 am. kaso, sobra pa rin akong inaantok so i decided to stay in bed for another hour. at around 830, naligo na ko then off to school na. dapat ndi na pala ako pumasok. considered na ring cut ung extreme tardiness ko yesterday sa nstp na yan! and we have to be at ateneo before 645 in the morning for the rest of my saturday's because of that nstp!!! :(
after nstp, nagchillax (as debs would put it) muna kami sa zen garden nina
macclaudio,
darkangel004,
ansmelmo,
ginie_12 and
nausicaa1986. after
nausicaa1986 and
ginie_12 left, the 4 of us went to mcdo katipunan to have some fries. after the 3 left, i fetched cel sa parlor niya sa may rustan's. we were supposed to watch minsan pa kung saan man palabas ung movie na yun kasi required si cel panurin yun for her english class. (they're required to watch a filipino movie for an english class. wow.)
however, pagcheck namin sa mga movie skeds, tinanggal na sa metroeast and market market ung movie. feeling ko linalangaw ung movie na un hehe. so, nanud na lang kami ng alexander sa market market.
nakatulog ako uli sa alexander!! tama nga si rai mejo boring ung gitnang part! i think i was able to sleep for around 20 minutes? and pagkagising ko, parang wala akong na-miss na significant part sa movie! it only depicts the life of alexander the great from childhood til his death. it was also weird seeing angelina jolie play as her mother. (MILF? whahahaha joke!:D) after watching, parang hindi ako makapaniwala na si oliver stone nagdirect ng movie na to. though this is my first time to watch an oliver stone picture, nagtataka ako bakit hindi maganda ang execution ng scenes niya. ung mga conversation parts, ung shot quality niya parang pang-B movie lang? well, cguro dahil hindi siya dinistribute ng major film companies such as columbia or warner. (intermedia lang to, i think. and they don't have a big name in the hollywood film industry) and brutal rin tong movie! kawawang horses!!!puro pinagsasaksak :(
i really think this movie was quite a waste of talents and capital. malamang nearly or more than a $100 million pinagkagastusan dito, but makikita mo na parang sinayang lang ang pera dahil sa pagkagawa ng movie. the producers could've done better if they'd make this movie shorter and less boring. parang auto-biographical documentary na ang dating nito. however, mejo bumawi na sa ending ung movie before alexander died. and sa ending niyo cguro makikita kung bakit naging controversial ang movie sa mga greeks and bakit dinedemanda ng greek lawyers sina oliver stone.
to some, they might find this movie interesting (tulad ni cel! pati history ni alexander binasa!) but if you're the type of person who easily gets bored with history, skip this one. and for me, troy's a better epic than this historic drag.
ok rin pala manud ng movie sa market market! bago pa so malinis, and since market market is under ayala corp, the movie houses are also owned by ayala cinemas, and i think they'll be able to maintain the cleanliness of their theatres. besides, cheap pa movie prices nila! 90 bucks for a guaranteed seating theatre and 70 bucks for the free-seating ones? sila na nga ang cheapest movie house and at the same time, one of the cleanest theatres sa metro manila!wala pang bayad parking nila! haha :)
after bringing cel home from market market, umuwi muna ako sandali to change and fix myself for our homecoming! i left the house at around 8, then i fetched symon, brought kim home muna sa sta. mesa then xavier na! at first, i was excited to see our new sports complex. dun kasi ginawa ung homecoming last night. yun pala, cement lang laman niya!:D kala ko naman gawa na talaga ung hall dun! but ayos din concept nila ng homecoming despite the empty venue!
even if the place had no decorations at all (basta para kang pumasok sa empty warehouse na walang laman), the still-under-construction and bare sports complex was full of spotlights and lights and andaming food! catered by north park pa! yum :) there were also free pepsi softdrinks, figaro coffee, absolute mineral H20, colt ice and lone star beers for everyone! the stage was in the middle of the hall, and it was a boxing ring! para kaming nasa boxing arena hahah tapos may huge flat screens on top of the boxing ring for every corner. you can really see the effort of the ones who made this event possible. sayang ndi namin naabutan si booba! umalis kagad kami nina symon to fetch
gni_baby then went to GB3 to watch xmas with the kranks. dapat nung una sa eastwood kami, but ndi kami abot sa screening time dun. although gusto ko rin sana mageastwood! andun din english blockmates ko and sina raissa! haha :D
una, ndi rin ako makapaniwala na john grisham wrote the novel which xmas with the kranks based on. i think it's the first john grisham novel which doesn't involve law and politics. it's more of a for-general-audience story talaga. they got the good stars to play the characters in the novel, but the story's nothing significant at all. it's just about the value of christmas to americans. it's also an unexpected kind of story from john grisham, who usually writes thrillers.
yeah! long weekend uli!:D
