So the worst happened today, NBC canceled Heroes.
Heroes was my first real fandom, and the only fandom I actively interact in. Because of it I met so many awesome people and a few people I'll be friends with for life. It was the first show I actively drew fan art for and it helped me develop my own style. There was a lot about the show I loved and a few things I didn't, but it was (and still is) my favorite thing. It's a show I could spend hours talking about and debating and theorizing about with people. I was blessed to be able to attend Comic Con last year, and be at the Heroes panel up in the 5th row, an experience I'll never forget.
I want to say thank you, to the people who still care about the show. Who, like me, cried or got angry at the news this afternoon. I want to say thank you to the people who made this fandom so great. I want to thank the cast, crew, writers, and Tim Kring who brought us this show for 4 seasons.
However, just because the show is done, it doesn't mean the fandom ends. We'll still be here, still expressing our love for our favorite show.
Monday nights will never be the same.
