My flight out of Perth had mechanical difficulties, which led to enough delay that I (and about 15 others) missed the connection in Sydney. We were booked on the next available flight, tomorrow morning. I've been wait listed for a LA->Seattle flight. So I don't know when I will arrive. Qantas is putting us up at the holiday inn overnight, but they handled the whole situation badly. We had to wait at the airport for over 2 hours to pick up our suitcases and shuttle to the hotel, with not as much as an apology. Oh, but we were each allowed a 5 min phone call.
