Two Weeks and Counting...
I can't believe it's almost time to hit the road. I am kind of freakishly excited. This time in two weeks, I'll be in Regina for our first night on the road.
I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in a previous entry (a long, rambling, previous entry, probably the one explaining my long absence and weird behaviour): starting September 1st, my sister and I are going cross-country for a road trip that will last until Thanksgiving. For all my non-Canadian friends looking a little puzzled, that's halfway through October.
We're headed on a leisurely route out to Nova Scotia, and then back again, hitting pretty much every capital city along the way, visiting friends and family, and sightseeing the crap out of places. Me and my sister are both total nerds, so we're hitting historical sites, museums, and science centres (my sister has passes to get us in free to science centres ALL ACROSS CANADA) wherever we go. Plus, it's going to be in the fall, so I may finally get a chance to see all those fall colours my parents keep going on about. PLUS, plus, I'll be meeting three little second cousins, lots of Erin's awesome Katima-friends, and a mutual internet buddy of me and alteiriaa who lives in TO (with luck). It's been ages since I've seen much of my eastern family (which is most of them), and it'll be good to reconnect, especially after some of the upheavals that have been happening.
And then about two weeks after we get back, I finally get to go to a GBS concert. In Edmonton, with my two bestest friends.
The way things are standing right now, my fall is going to ROCK.
I'm going to do my best to post pictures for those interested, but probably the majority will end up on Facebook because there are more people there who will care, particularly about the family pics. And I don't connect my Facebook to LJ. I prefer being mostly anonymous-ish here. >.>
Hopefully this trip will also FINALLY kick off the Dimitri logs. Erin will be bringing her Jose Pablo with her, so the bird bros can have Epic Road Trip photos alongside the girl bros.
... I just called me and my sister bros.
Good God I will be glad when I can stop staying up till three o'clock every night because of work. (This is my lunch break AUGH)
