New Year, New Semester

So first day of classes today. Somehow my schedule shoved every single one of my classes on to Tuesdays and Thursdays, leaving my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays wide open for homework and sessions in the writing centre. I have another class with Roxanne this term and I'm happy about that. It's always so much work but her classes are well worth it. I've got Religion 100 in an hour. I've been meaning to take that since first year (it's an overview of the major world religions. As a literature major, this is kind of an important thing to have a handle on - something I have to guess at most often because of my incredibly indifferent atheistic background), and it's only a 100 level course so it shouldn't be too bad work-wise. AND I have Creative Writing this semester! I'm so ridiculously happy about that. I loved that class and Marina was just awesome. (This afternoon~!)

Let me take just a moment of silence for my laptop, which has been sent off to unknown regions to be repaired, and may have its entire memory wiped. All I managed to save off of it before my battery died was my entire notebook folder, zipped up and tucked on my flash drive. All things considered, that's a lot, and most important. I'm not going to lose all the writing I've done on it since I got the damn thing, and even if I lose all my downloaded programs, and episodes, I know where and how to find them all again. If I'd lost my writing, I'd be FUCKED, because that can't ever be replaced in the same way. I have most of my recent stuff saved somewhere on the internet, often on this journal, but STILL. There's a lot of stuff I don't post that's still useful to me and fun to play with when I don't have any actual ideas on what to write and I would seriously cry if I lost it all. But it's safe. =) I just hope my laptop-chan will come back safe and in better condition than I sent it off in (ie: working order!!)
