It's pouring
Okay, when it rains it pours right? Approximately one million things have happened since my last entry. I think I'll just give some highlights. Lets see. Well first of all Baxter didn't get adopted by that family that was interested in him. They felt that he shedded too much and the mom has dog allergies...so they adopted a greyhound puppy. I just kept my big mouth shut about that. I'm glad they didn't adopt Baxter though...it just wasn't a good fit.
Then on Thursday, the 18th, I was rear-ended at a stoplight. The lovely man who hit me just waved to me and drove away. It was beautiful. I didn't even get a good look at him because I had been just sitting at the stoplight for awhile and I wasn't paying attention to who was behind me. Luckily, the damage is minimal and the car is drivable until I can get if fixed. My bumper needs replaced and that is about it. I spent about 1.5 hours on Friday at one of the Detroit police stations getting my police report.
Then this weekend, Baxter bit at Gampa and Beth. He didn't break the skin or anything, but thats not the point. He has been quite stranger aggressive lately. I spoke with a dog evaluator and we believe it is because he is a herding dog and he is trying to protect us. There are many things we can do to try to train these behaviors out of him and hopefully they will work. He is just super sweet and fun to us. Him and Zeke get along great. It is so crazy. He does have a possible adoption this week and I just spoke with the woman who said that she was okay with the possible problems and willing to work with him. So, that's good news.
I guess that is all the big information for now. I keep saying everything happens for a reason...sometimes I just get frustrated not knowing the reason. Oh well.
