[The video opens on a room that may be familiar to some. The familiar mobile of feathers and bones clattering in the open window, the large skull hung above the bed. A goldfish turns lazy circles in its jar in the window.]

What's its name? [A masculine voice, a few may recognize as dirt-heart.]

[A softer voice follows, Eden's,] Her name is Abital. And ( Read more... )

[Blaine smiles at her.]Those are really creative, Eve.

[Strange, but original too. he keeps that to himself, since he knows that Eve is fond of those things.]Are those really small birds?

Hmm?

[She brings the portal closer to the jar.]

Yes, four of them.

How did you get them inside the jar? [He looks really interested.]

I found it in the market.

[It was her favorite place, she spent most of her time wandering around there.]

I assumed they were always that small...

This place is certainly really special.

[BLaien needs to find a weird present for her. Like earnings made of bones or something, idk.]

You have a point, maybe they were.

People dream about many things. Even tiny birds.

[She remains convinced Promenade is the city of dreams it claims to be.]

Good point. I never could remember much about my own dreams, but sometimes I dreamed about flying birds too. I wonder if that means something.

Birds are difficult, they can mean many things, depending how far, how fast, how low they fly, their colors.

[Augury is not one of her stronger arts, not beyond crow-sign and that had more to do with her father than it did with her. Morrisons did better with the haruspex, entrails fresh in hand.]

And, of course, who dreams them.

Most of them where white, I think. But if I dram about them again I will try to remember it better.

[Haruspex?]

Ah, I see. That would be me, of course.

A good oneiromancer could tell you more as the birds pertain to you.

[She tilts her head slightly.]

But dreams have never been... my family's gift.

I'm sure I can find one in this place or perhaps there's books about it in the school's library.

That's ok. What was your family forte?

Bones, entrails. Mother does not care for dreams, or birds.

You can still practice that here?

Somewhat. Such things were simpler at home.

Because there was more magic there? Or because you had your family?

We are stronger, when we are together.

[Although, at the bottom of the heap, it wasn't really Eden who benefitted from that strength. She had more here on her own, without her sisters leeching from her.]
