As in checking the state of their mind? Yes. It involves reading their thoughts and knowing how they would normally think, of course.

However, my question is "why?"

He..There's a man here from my world. He...seems sane enough now, from that point of time...but later on he went insane. The 'I-am-a-God' type of insanity, in case you wanted to know. He killed a lot of people, then went on to try to destroy the planet we live on.

[Clouds sounds very uncomfortable here. Because if it wasn't for Aerith and the Lifestream, Sephiroth would have succeeded in his mad plan.]

If he is from a time prior to the insanity, what makes you believe he will go insane here in Promenade?

Until recently, I'm the only other one from our world. And...well...I've been very very careful not to say too much.

That's changed now...there's another guy from our world here, and...I'm just worried something will...trigger it.

It's fine if you ask him first. I'd prefer it if you ask first actually. [This actually makes him feel much more willing to trust you.]

His name's Sephiroth. Long silver hair that I'm surprised he hasn't tripped over once yet, six foot long sword. Can't miss him.
