[The video feed is turned off, and to those that know what to look for an odd encrypted ping and search command is sent out before audio takes over]]This is a all a bit hard to believe and a bit frazzling of processors. I never thought I would find it odd that humans know who I am like they do here, but this is clearly not Earth or any of the other ( Read more... )

[The encryption's strange... but not entirely unfamiliar. Rinzler pries through the code, roots out the search function. Confirmed.

Not that 'autobots' wasn't enough of a giveaway.]

Query. Designation, function?

Association: Ratchet, Knock Out, Soundwave?

[Well you caught his interest, Though the mentioning of Ratchet was an unintentional low blow to his emotions but text does not give that away at all.

Several others back home would likely tell him not to answer, but he figures if it is a Decepticon they'd find and attack first instead of asking questions.]

First Aid, Chief Medical Officer, Gestalt member of group Protectobots.

Ratchet: Deceased Ally, Knock Out: Unknown Designation, Soundwave: Decepticon Communication Specialist

How was the Designation of Ratchet known? What is you're own designation and affiliation?

[...you just told him Soundwave's function. You are his new favorite almost-program not-exactly-user mech.]

Ratchet: prior communication over network. Data exchange. [And he's pretty sure the guy's not dead. But.]

Designation: Rinzler.
[Affiliation: Clu.] Non-associated with factions: Decepticon, Autobot.
Current state of hostilities with Decepticon designations: Soundwave, Knock Out. [By which he means he will murder them painfully.]

Request. Data: Soundwave.

[Somehow that doesn't seem to be a good thing.]

Confirmed Deactivation of former Chief Medical Officer Ratchet, improbable of communication with. [This place already is defying poor First Aid's logic.]

Rinzler is unknown designation to me. Thank you regardless for answering and it is nice to meet you. Neutral? [Aw we can find a way to all get along can't we Rinzler?]

First hand experience with Soundwave is limited. What is it you are looking for? Are his cassette's being employed here to gather intelligence? Is he following an order from Megatron? Are the encryptions tested against him?

[Poor Rinzler isn't going to like the fact Aid knows a different Soundwave then the one here.]

[You are giving him data! What could go wrong?!

Rinzler doesn't bother arguing the claim of deactivation. He does, however, link First Aid to a previous network post. His own communications there are encrypted, but there are others who left it open-including video transmissions.]

Query: 'cassettes'? [He links a few images: Soundwave's marblebots in both active and inactive states, as well as the flying drone.]

Encryptions functional. [Though that he hadn't gotten past Soundwave's own encryptions was a source of constant frustration. But hey. He hasn't even hidden the response below. Thanks for that, Soundwave.]

Source of orders: unstated.
Request data: combat functions, chain of command.

[...Nope. Rinzler's not going to like that at all. Then again, First Aid will have his own fun when realizes exactly what he's been talking to.]

[But it's bad data.]

That is not a frame type I have ever seen or worked on.[Yes, Aid is freaking out a bit here.]

That is not Chief Medical Officer Ratchet.

[Oh hey questions to take his mind off the freak out he is doing.]

I am not familiar with the first, and the second looks but is not the same as one of the two flying spies of Soundwave designated as Laserbeak and Buzzsaw.

Soundwave is loyal to the leader of the Decepticons, he is mostly an intelligence gathering force, though he is formidable in battle and his small force of spies are also battle operational. I was never certain on his official setting in the Decepticon ranks, but many think he's the true second in command instead of Air Commander Starscream.

[He'll stare so hard.]

[Well, there's that.]

Acknowledged.

[He doesn't particularly care which of them is accurate about Ratchet's designation. The rest of the data is more important. Especially when combined with Soundwave's own slipups. Rinzler doesn't know how you managed to trigger so much glitching. But users, he wants to learn.]

Request additional data. Interactions: Soundwave, Megatron?
Damage/destruction to latter?

[Staring is hardly the worst reaction he's gotten yet.]

Soundwave is unfailingly loyal to Megatron and trusted with various objectives. Shockwave may be the only other in the main command with as much trust from Megatron. No one is certain how Starscream became second in command due to his attempts to remove Megatron from his position and take over.

[Well there's a clue, and Aid has no clue how he did that, he's as shocked as anyone over that.]

[Okay. So he's figured out at this point that this one's probably from a different system. Not all of the data will serve. Still...]

Query. Damage/destruction to Megatron?

Known combat functions, methods: Soundwave? [If the description fails to include "tentacles", Rinzler will know for certain this line of inquiry doesn't apply.]

Confirmed fatal damage caused by Optimus Prime, however was reformatted into another entity under the designation of Galvatron. [Aid does not want to get into the whole Unicron and Primus so he's going to avoid that. It still makes little sense to him as well.]

Combat is rare, his normal weapon is that of a standard concussive blast emitting fire arm. His biggest advantage is his capability to connect to and read electrical frequencies low enough in organic and inorganic material that some have likened to the human phrase of telepathy. It is an uphill battle to keep information away from him.

Acknowledged. [If unfortunate. Derezz should be permanent.

But the secondary data confirms it: this isn't the same version of Soundwave First Aid knows. All data's in question-though going by his opponent's reactions, some things are at least equivalent. Rinzler notes the blast weapon and detection capabilities as potential threats-neither particularly improbable, given that the mech's drone was firing on him similarly, and Soundwave's already demonstrated high level surveillance function.]

Information appreciated.

[Actually so. Though he does wish you'd stop discussing him on open channels.]
