[The PORTAL clicks on to show Altaïr's apartment for a few moments before it shifts over to the streets of Masyaf. Altaïr appears to be standing on a street riddled with bodies, all dressed in the familiar robes of the assassins. He blinks rapidly as if coming out of a daze and his reaction is immediate

[The assassin's robes frighten her, they remind her of the cult garb worn by those who had kidnapped her, locked her beneath the earth and tortured her. But he is not the only one to suffer of hallucinations and she has wept over a beloved's dead body, she won't leave anyone to it.]

[Altaïr continues to clutch onto Malik's body even as he hears the voice coming from nowhere. It takes several moments, but he does come to realize that there is nothing and no one for the voice to be coming from and so he raises his head.

A quick glancing search confirms to him that no one is there and he turns back to Malik, lifting a hand to close the eyes of his best friend. He mutters a quick prayer under his breath to a God he doesn't believe in, knowing that Malik had.]

[She shuts up, for the moment. No, she doesn't believe in God either anymore, but she wouldn't interrupt him either way. She waits before she tries again,]

Your fears are being used against you.

[Okay, this voice is really persistent. So he's going to look around a bit more carefully. If this is trick being played on him then he will destroy whoever dared to intrude on his grief.]

Show yourself! Or are you afraid to face me now that I am aware? [Because obviously Promenade was had been an illusion brought on by the Apple]

You're hallucinating. As difficult as it might be to believe, none of that is real.

[Sorry Merlin, he's not really paying attention to anything other than Malik's body. The hallucination has him firmly in it's grip and he's barely holding on. But if you want to find him and smack some sense into him that may work?]

[Altaïr distantly heard the PORTAL beep to indicate an incoming text message, but his mind filed it away under 'unimportant' and he mentally began preparing himself for the task of burying his brothers and sisters. There was no way he would allow them to simply rot in the sun; this would be his way to pay for not resisting Al Mualim's will]

[Cloud does not like hearing other people's voices in his head; it reminds him too much of a time when he's had nothing BUT other people's voices in his head, telling him to do things he rather not do. But he wasn't going to let this go on either. So he switches off the text into tenaka.]

There is no need. This is your past, right?

[Well if the voices aren't going to go away he may as well respond to them.]

So it would seem, though I do not remember this happening. Perhaps this is what that city hid from me. The slaughter of my brothers and sisters as I stood by unable to help. It seems as if my resisting my Master's will was but a delusion.

[Lucy knows all too well how Altaïr might feel, how one can fear his failures will be at the cost of everything and everyone he holds dear. She's had similar hallucinations, ones that implicated Desmond and Sixteen repainting her bedroom walls with symbols made out of their blood.

It's....humbling to see the man break down and call out to one she knows has made a serious impact on his life. She knows this is not really and she swallows slowly before calling out to the Master Assassin.]

Altaïr, this is not real. You saved Masyaf, I've seen it. This is just an hallucination...

[She waits, hoping the man will at least respond to his name.]

[Sorry Darling, you're gonna have to take more drastic measures to get him up and running again.

Lucy's voice does temporarily jolt him into a state of awareness, but when he fails to identify her or the PORTAL being close to him he slips back under the power of the hallucination.]

[Lucy can see that calling out to the Master Assassin is not going to do any good: by now, he's too deep into the hallucination to even acknowledge her. She'll have to get to him. She packs a few items, though not leaving her home without the cure that's now available.

Bless the PORTAL for having a GPS and tracking program: it helps her locate Altaïr far quicker than any other ways. When she finds him, she approaches him with great caution, knowing that the toxin is still potent and that the Syrian might see her as an enemy.]

Altaïr. I'm Lucy, do you remember me? I welcomed you here. I am a Sister to you...[And so saying, she raises her left hand, her ring finger bent into her palm, just like she did when meeting him for the first time a few weeks ago.]

[Altaïr looks up at the voice and his eyes widen when he sees Lucy. For a moment the memories of meeting her in Promenade well up, but then the hallucination takes root again and he simply remembers her as one of the Novices, as the still present ring finger is glaringly obvious.

But he shifts a bit, lowering Malik's head onto his lap before he addresses her.]

Lucy, sister. How did you survive? Who did this? Did you see them? I must know!
