[ Jack has a landscape in the hallucination that he is projecting. While in reality, he is standing behind the Torchwood building outside, he appears to be standing on sand and is surrounded by it. Wherever he looks, that is what he sees. In front of Jack is a small boy extending his hand towards him as if he's desperately trying to reach Jack's but just can't. He slowly starts to get older. Jack starts crying very quietly, though a good look at his face makes it impossible to hide. The person before him slips into the sand and vanishes in ash and smoke. ]
Gray.
[ Jack desperately takes several steps forward, moving around and looking for that lost boy in the sand. There is clear edge in his tone when his thoughts project. He needs to desperately save this Gray. ]
No. Gray!
[ He stops in his tracks, taking a deep breath. He doesn't even try to hide that he's crying. His tone drops its edge and is just desperate and pleading. ]
I know you're alive. Come on, Gray. I forgive you. Come back.
[ He drops his PORTAL in the sand in his hallucination and it shuts off immediately. ]
