[Rinzler watches the display with an edge of discomfort. This is more support for his analysis about the PORTALs. And his rectification theory. Or it could just be users being users. It's easier to think the second. Easier to think about. He could care less, though, as the user on display is attacked. If these mobs can take him down, he's too weak to be worth considering. Not that he looks-
No, I'm not hurt- [For splicers, they'd been surprisingly tame- No, no. Those weren't splicers, they were just people. He just set someone on fire.] Oh, god.
[ Should the citizens have attacked him? No, probably not. Tensions are high in the city, and with small scrapes and fights, sometimes it's best to let them fight it out. Many of the guards have no sympathy for the outsiders, and so more and more, blind eyes are turned to what happens when they can get away with it. The royalty doesn't like it. Genero doesn't like it. Many of the guards don't like it.
But this... A man was set on fire. This cannot stand.
He is the only one who threw a punch, so they take him to the Unnatural, to treat his wounds -- the fire is, perhaps, punishment enough. But the other, the outsider, has fled.
[Jack doesn't pause for long to respond to whatever messages he's received on his PORTAL, but when he does, he quickly realizes he has no idea where he is.
No, no. This can't be happening. Those splicers - but they weren't splicers, they never were, even if they were attacking him, even if they were all wearing masks - they were just regular people, and he just set one of them on fire...
He feels like he's going to be sick - but there's no time for that. He has to keep running, before someone catches up with him.]
[ These are their streets, to live on and protect and serve, and a running man is something that people pause and stare at. There are shouts, and as the call goes out to the guards ("Jack Ryan set a man who attacked him on fire, in full view in public and on the network, tracking him via PORTAL, current coordinates are--"), the hunters increase.
Some of the guards are certain that Genero will say it's a mental problem, stress from not being able to remember Promenade, to remember home, and they will nod and say it's a shame. But for now, they have to catch him. It's the only way to help him, to help everyone -- and stress or not, he has to be punished.
A guard steps out from a shop as Jack runs past and shouts for him to stop before giving chase. Three other guards in the area are alerted by the shout, and they move to try and cut Jack off before he can get away. ]
Jack tries to back away, until he realizes he's surrounded. No, no, this can't be - he can't let himself get caught, he can't...
A dreamt-up pistol appears in his right hand, just as the veins in the other pulse a bright electric blue. He doesn't want to hurt anyone else, but he can't be caught; either way, he has no choice but to make a stand.]

[ Well. That certainly catches some attention. Not that Soundwave has any sympathy for either human involved, but he'll be monitoring this situation to see how it develops, oh yes. ]

[ Even so, a tiny voice in the back of her head asks if what Jack did was necessary; She squashes it down. ]
