[Everything seems to be back to normal for the most part, Madsen's walking along with her mask on and for the most part indifferent to what's going on around her - though she is noticing that people are giving her a wider berth than usual, which is weird especially since she doesn't have any weapons on her right now, just in
her regular clothes.
She doesn't say anything, just continues along before she heads into one of the nearby coffee shops to grab some tea. It's then that she's stopped by
another citizen, who stands right in her way to get in line.]
... uh, hi? Can I help you?
What makes you think that you can just come in here and act as if nothing happened?
[Madsen blinks, raising an eyebrow.] 'Scuse me?
Don't act as if you don't know! You and your little friends were the ones that caused the attacks to happen!
[Her eyes narrow slightly. Unfortunately this was something she was used to dealing with thanks to the war with Kresoveer, though that didn't mean her anger wasn't flaring at the statement. Her voice, though, is clear and calm, she wasn't going to lose her temper over petty accusations.]
I don't act as if nothing happened, and I sure as hell don't see the reason why I should have to explain myself to you, especially if you're just going to go out and accuse random strangers. If you've lost someone, I'm sorry, and I do mean that, but I've learned a long time ago that shouldering everyone's burdens is just going to kill me faster.
[The woman looks incredulous, and makes a move as if she's going to grab Emily and shake her, but a small shift into shunpo and Madsen's already moving around her, reaching the counter. She was in full defensive mode, something she hasn't been used to doing for a while, it was weird trying to make sure to keep it together.]
I'll take a chamomile tea, please. Large. To-go. [She's not even looking back, but she can definitely feel the stares on her back as she's ordering, and clenches her jaw after taking the order. Faster she was out of here, the better.]
