[The view is outside the castle, though it's hard to focus on the scene in the flurry of activity; there are monsters here, just as there are thoughout the city. The first image is of some kind of purplish cresent, hitting a Serpent straight in the eyes. A moment later, the attacker - the masked boy who arrived recently, wielding a large key - appears in a burst of darkness over the creature, following the attack with another hit. He seems to be doing well enough...but he isn't alone.]
[Just beyond him is another figure, and while they aren't as fast or as well trained as the newcomer, that certainly doesn't mean they can't handle their own. A quick run, and the feed picks up a girl in teal and red, wielding a dragon-topped cane that sticks the weapon straight underneath and through the serpent's neck, and twists, rendering it useless. The limp creature falls to the ground, and while they only have a minute to relax, you can see it's Terezi, grinning like a maniac.]
More are coming, you know. Hehehehehe.
Like I need you to tell me that.
[Sounds like someone is, as usual, in a sour mood. He keeps a firm grip on the Keyblade, taking to look around to make sure the coast was, however temporarily, clear, and listening for more. Beyond the reply, he seems to keep his distance from the girl, ignoring her as well as he can. He doesn't seen to be very interested in company.]
[But unlike him, Terezi has every intent on annoying the shit out of Vanitas as much as possible. She is a troll, after all. Snapping the cane into three parts, she paces, alert, tongue partially out in the air and nose wrinkling at all the bad smells that she's getting.]
This place reeks. It's even worse than Vriska and her lies. You'd think that dumb voice would at least send decent smelling stuff our way.
[The troll stops, suddenly, hands shifting- before jumping upwards as another giant serpent lunges for her out of the shadows. Moving quickly and wrapping her nunchuck-cane around its neck like a lasso on a wild horse, she lets out a cackle as the beast tries to throw her off, thrashing wildly. Holding on quite tightly, she proceeds to ride the creature as it rolls and crashes through trees, trying to get rid of her.]
[Meanwhile, Vanitas holds Void Gear at the ready, though he doesn't rush in to fight with Terezi; in fact, he makes no move at all until the serpent's thrashing makes a decisive shift towards his direction. He jumps back to avoid being hit, letting lose some sort of dark fireball aimed at the creature's face; he doesn't seem to concerned about avoiding the girl on it's back, but he somehow manages to anyway. He keeps attacking, however, zeroing in on the face for as long as he can keep himself in the air (which is an impressive amount of time, it seems)]
[And as Vanitas hits the serpent in the face, Terezi hoists up her nunchucks , knee pinning the creature's nerve in its spine, and lifts upwards, until all you can hear is a sickening crack before the rampant beast goes still. The look on her face is pretty much equivalent to a serial killer's, and the maniacal grin is as wide as ever.]
That was fun! But I don't smell anything else right now.
[A shuffle of her boots, and then she turns, looking away from Vanitas and towards the castle.]
Oh, and one other thing.
[Vanitas, who had landed on his feet and started walking away immedately after the defeat of the serpent. At Terezi's last sentence he stopped, but didn't bother turning around.]
Make it fast.
[From the sounds of it, he's ready to walk away at any second.]
[Well, he's not getting a chance. The next instant, Terezi is nearly on him, tongue pressed against his helmet and giggling like a schoolgirl.]
Oh my gog, you really do taste like candy fireballs! Candy red, candy red!
[And she wraps her arms around his neck and clings like a kid, continuing to lick his helmet like it's the best thing in the world.]
[The masked boy takes a step back the first time she licks his helmet, and a sound almost akin to a growl is audible.]
Get-
[Then when she jumps on he grabs her, attempting to pry her off.]
Get off of me!
