I didn't create them, myself. They were made by the scientists of Rapture.

From certain keywords, it seems that your society is based off of Christian religions. Am I far from the mark with that assumption?

They were created under my orders. I intended to utilize them once they were fully developed.

And what purpose would they serve?

Which leads me back to my original question: why would you need to raise the dead? What purpose would that serve?
