Those? [Blinking, he's not completely fazed with him not knowing- after all Trainers from other regions wouldn't know those from Unova.]

Oh. This one is Taiyou, she's a Larvesta. [The Fire-and-Bug type gives a friendly greeting, blue eyes staring curiously.]

What are those?

Pokemon? They're..

[How do you even explain that? The large pigeon-like bird lands beside him, chirping a greeting.] They're what inhabitants most of the world. Wild and caught ones.

[gokaizoku]

I've never seen those on Earth.

[yinblack]

They're really hard to miss, they're everywhere! But, this must be where the 'different worlds' come in, huh?

[As weird as that seriously sounds.]

I guess. Do they do anything?

[yinblack]

They do a lot of things. Each one have their own type with a list of moves. Taiyou is a Bug-and-Fire type, so her moves are mostly centered on fire and bug moves.

Hey Taiyou, use Ember. [The Larvesta shifts away, but Touya keeps it on view while it emits a sudden spark of fire that shoots out.] See?

That's a little more interesting than the rest of this place, at least.

[Hey, he only sees it as such. He's smiling, and the Larvesta seems happy.]

They can do a whole lot, just wait till she evolves.

Evolves?

Yeah, Pokemon evolve. They change form and get stronger.

I can't show you right now a Pokemon evolving, not without some training. [The Unfezant that had landed beside him earlier was ruffling his wings, giving Touya an idea.]

But, I can show you images of how some of my Pokemon looked before. See Unfezant here? His first evolution, how he started was a Pidove before he evolved into a Tranquil. And finally he's a Unfezant.
