Damon!? You're - [ To say it's a shock to see him would be the understatement of the century. Instead of just having a go at him and making life even more difficult, she does as he says. Luckily she had semi-explored her room and quite possibly the house before her feed turned itself on. ] I'm on the first floor [ Insert room number here of House 8 ] What's going on? [ She couldn't help it. ]

[ Instead of answering her, he gives her a brief smile, cuts the video off and super speeds to House number 8.

Less than a minute later, Damon knocks on her door. ] Elena? It's me.

[ A touch frustrated at his lack of answer, she quickly gets over it and opens the door. It's nice to know he's still a pain in the ass even in a weird ass place like this. ]

[ She's not really sure what she's supposed to say other than what the hell is going on. ] Hey. [ She goes for instead. From where she's from, it'd been a few hours since she had last seen him at the masquerade party. ]

[ From where he's from, he just got her aunt stabbed by Katherine. The fact that she's even saying 'hey' to him at this point is a good sign. ]

Much better. [ He smiles, steps inside and closes the door behind him. Almost immediately, he moves to stand behind Elena, one hand on her arm and the other on her waist. ] You're hurt. What happened?

[ She looks at him with concern, eyebrows furrowed. She twists awkwardly to face him. ] You don't remember? The masquerade? Katherine's witchy friend linking us and you and Stefan trying to stake her?

[ Lazy. Elena takes his suave sophisticated portal~ and reads the guide. ]

[ And looks up at him with a frown. Slowly making sense. ] What's the last thing you remember?

[ Elena's face falls when she hears that. It's a moment she doesn't want to remember. Jenna being compelled to harm herself. Breaking up with Stefan. Damon's guilt. ] I'm ahead of you. Not by far, but ... Is that even possible? [ Said more to herself than him. ]

[ Spoilers~. She feels like she owes it to him. She remembers how sorry he was for Jenna, and she remembers how hard he worked to make sure they ended all of this before anyone else got hurt. ] Things get messier after that. But we get Katherine.

[ He touches the stain of blood on the back of her shirt. ] What happened to you? [ He's guessing she was stabbed - ow - but that she'd also been healed. He's assuming by Stefan's blood. Or by Bonnie's spell. ]

I'm fine. [ Big inhale. ] You and Stefan were going to take care of the whole Katherine situation at the Lockwood masquerade ball. I don't know the details exactly since everyone kept it from me until the last minute, but Katherine had a witch magically link us. So everything that happened to her, happened to me. If she got stabbed, I got stabbed. [ She looks down at her palm where a light, long scar weaves unsteadily across the skin where Katherine had sliced her own hand open. ] But Jeremy stopped you both. And, like I said, we got Katherine. It's over for now. [ She's stupid to even believe that for a second. ]
