[When the video starts up, it shows on a piano with a boy and his back turned. There's a glimpse of his face, a mixture of emotion playing. It's excitement, relief, though troubled as well. Finally his hands raise over the white and black keys before he starts to play, the piano's music sounding out. He continues to play it, only slowing down when ( Read more... )

Lioriley has returned to her home for a time as she must. It has been forseen already, she will return in due time when all that must be done is done.

Oh! So she returned home and you ..already knew about it?

[...

hold on a second--]

--Wait, what? So.. she's gone? What do you mean it's been forseen? Like you.. well, saw the future or something?

I see all if I care to look. I could look to the future of any citizen in this city of dreams and could tell you how their lives would play out down to the letter with but one long look.

[It's good to be him.]

Lioriley has returned to her home. She will be much changed when she returns.

Oh wow, that's amazing Veles!! Like some fortune teller, except you see into the future. Do all dragons like you do that back at your home?

[a small frown at his words, she'll be changed?]

Oh.. Well, I'm relieved to know she'll be back at least. She'll be okay too? Not hurt or anything, right? [Just to be safe!]

Only other red dragons as well as the gold can see the future so it is a rare gift.

[He is of course the best at it.]

She will not be injured, merely changed. Older, perhaps wiser, finally showing the benefits of many years of finally listening to my sage advice.

Woow. Sounds really useful!

[seriously amazed here, even more since it's not part of the game.]

That's a relief! Uhm.. She'll still remember me, right? And her friends here?

It can be but when one is thousands of years old then one seldom needs it; history often repeats itself.

[Unless it's Lioriley.]

I believe that she will, yes, there could be some slight disorientation but she will remember who you are.

Oh. It'll help you prepare for things to come too! That must mean no surprises for you, huh?

[no pranks for the dragon.]

Wheeeew! Haha, I'm glad. So, you said she'll be older, how much older?

There might be - I do not always look at all the futures. Lioriley's is one I have a vested interest in after I looked as far as I could upon her first meeting but with those here, I seldom bother.

[If Lioriley got to him first, she'd probably convince him to play along.]

She will be almost five hundred when she returns.

[He nods, to show he understood what he was getting at.

And he does not hold back from gasping.] Five hundred? Oh right, I keep forgetting she's a Dark Elf, they must live very long then! Lot longer than humans. Hehe, wow five hundred..

Humans are one of the shortest lived races, it's rare they even make it to one hundred.

[Which in his opinion is still too long.]

I don't think I could imagine myself living longer than that!

How old was Lior before she left then? I mean she looked young, not anywhere close to one hundred or anything though! [he wonders if she'll come back with a white beard...]

There are some who would wish to extend their years but one should only live as long as nature intends them to.

She was in her nineties before she departed Promenade this time. She looked young because by the standards of her race such an age is young, comparable to being a teenager in human years.

[wisdom is being bestowed to him by a dragon!!! we are totally taking this serious. he nods.]

Nineties? Wow, not even close to what I was thinking! That does make sense though, trolls are sorta weird on age too. So when she comes back.. she'll be an adult?

Not only that, she will be a respected figure, a teacher of the young, a hero once more and someone who has suffered great personal loss. [A more grave look comes over him then.] You must treat her with kindness. She will undoubtedly need it.

Great personal loss..? [He blinks at the next words, before giving a promising smile.] Of course! I don't intend on treating her any different, Lior is still Lior! She's my friend too, I'll always be kind to her.
