[Two options:
A. is for action, during the most beautiful time of the D A Y. The sun has already settled in its usual spot, vying for your attention, because what could possibly be any more magnificent than its rays? Even still, the cafe Dietrich finds himself in is a wonderful sight - rich colours of the bricked foundation and luscious awnings that completely box in the area. There is a flourish of a garden that trails along the side, just before the sidewalk meets the end of the street, and there are even a few tables lingering nearby the entrance. Looking through the glass window, it's easy to tell that it's already bubbling with life, people up and about just to get their fair share of coffee or the next treat.
Dietrich is amongst them, a cup of
coffee sitting on the table right in front of him, left untouched. He doesn't find himself interested in what a lot of people have to say around him, but every now and then, the snippets of flurried conversations catch his attention. You could say that he's been watching you, a little bit too closely for your own comfort, because even with
his mask, it's hard to miss the way his eyes light up. Or you could say he happened to laugh at the same time you did, maybe at a joke you just cracked, or another funny story you just shared.
No matter what, he's there, watching, observing, counting down the number of times the feathers tickle his face, but never minding his own business.
B. is for the PORTAL, a video feed of exactly where he is (hours later, perhaps), lounging back on the chair and looking away from the screen. He appears to be preoccupied, deep in thought, but the way he smiles seems to tell you otherwise. When he turns to face the screen, he shifts its location on the table. He props it against something that couldn't be seen, and winds up having to fold his arms on the wooden surface and place his head on top of them just so the camera can still catch his face.
Just like a child would, when they're curious to hear about something and they already know how long it'll take to get there.]
Tell me a story.
It can be about anything you want it to be. It doesn't matter how long, how short, or how unwilling you are to spare me all the details, because this seems like the best way to get to know someone.
Wouldn't you agree?
[ooc. Two different situations! With hours in between. Pick a letter, and we'll go with it. o/]
