[Asha seems much less distracted this time as she starts the recording, actually paying attention to the PORTAL from the start. She's in a different room, white-painted timber cladding on the wall behind her, the only light source small and obviously over the other side of the room, leaving long shadows behind her.]
I found the mountains, they are here. The house and the animals, too. I don't know how long they've been here, but they don't seem to have starved. Maybe they can't. I'm... not sure I'm glad they're here. It would be strange if it was empty. But I know they aren't truly our animals.
It is quiet here, thankfully. I can still hear this... place, deep underneath, but... [She frowns for a moment.] It's quieter than the city. And familiar. It's better. [She sounds more like she's trying to convince herself of that last part than anything else.]
