[ Before the video even turns on, one would be able to hear what sounds like someone rummaging through their pockets, along with the clicks and low rattles of metal against leather and wood. A loud 'thud' echoes across the network feed and the video turns on, revealing one of the many rooms in house six. Part of the still made bed is seen,

[Though he hasn't met Ezio, D looks concerned. It's been awhile since he's heard Italian, but he manages...]

[ Who are these people and why do they actually seem concerned? Also how long had that damned thing been recording? ]

Sto bene. [ A lie, obviously. A man doesn't recover from something like that quickly. ] There's no need to concern yourself.

[And D's the Queen of England - he clearly doesn't believe Ezio, but doesn't press the issue. He frowns, then opens his mouth to speak but closes it again. After a moment, D shakes his head, frowns deeper, and sighs.]

I suppose I just wanted to make sure the place wasn't driving anybody crazy.

[punchesbards]

[ For the better that he doesn't press it. Ezio isn't one to talk about things like this with strangers...or anyone for that matter. ]

Not yet, signore, it will take a lot more to do that.

[D only pries with certain people. He studies the man, thinking...]

My name is D. What is yours?

[punchesbards]

[ There's a pause. It's debatable whether he's thinking about the man's name being one letter, or if he even wants to introduce himself over this strange device. ]

Ezio.

[cake_and_dreams]

[D waits patiently, watching him, evaluating him during the pause.]

Ezio. I shall remember that.

[He smiles a little, maybe a bit sadly, then laughs to himself and shrugs.]

Sorry to bother you. I hope your day improves.

[punchesbards]

It is not a bother. Or, rather, you are not so much as this device is.

[ taunting him with how it is shaped and everything. Ezio stares away from the screen a moment, ] I appreciate the concern even if it is unnecessary.

If this city wishes to taunt me then it is doing a very good job at it.

Mine does the same. It almost seems they were put there for such a purpose.

Such sick sense of humor, to find something like this humorous. I imagine they would say this is for our comfort.

I must admit I am not as comfortable as they wish me to be.

I would think that if they wanted us to be comfortable, the mirrors would not be there.
