Lampflowers survive on mana. That's why they're able to glow. [ She frowns a little, turning the flower in her hands. ] I wonder if this has anything to do with the silence and mind-reading that happens here.

It would have to be magic, since there isn't anything that changes other than it being night. I wonder if it's a dark elemental spell, which is why it only works at night...

I only know one shade elemental spell. But it's a powerful element. I'd weigh odds there's a spell to do this kind of thing. Whoever is casting it must be pretty powerful.
