So uh... [He fiddles with his mask] What do you guys think about the masks? They're suppose to represent equality but masks have a totally different meaning in Greece. What about you guys?
Honestly, they remind me a bit of a very long and extended masquerade ball, except with a lot less dancing and food. [he grins behind his own mask.] You're from Greece, hmm?
Various points in history? You mean... whoa! You went to like... the past and future? Did you get to meet Hercules? How's he doing? Did he become a hero? How's Phil doing?
Once or twice, yeah! I'm a time-traveller, comes with the territory. I only ever met Hercules once, actually... it was a bit of a messy incident, involved a giant monster that was actually an alien so it came more under my jurisdiction than his, but it was all sorted out in the end.
A monster? Which monster? [There's been a lot of 'em lately, including Hades' Ice Titan]
[He nods]
Well, I don't think he's known as the Hercules since he's still a hero in training like me. No one really knows about 'im yet. Then again, maybe Hades spread the word since the last competition... [:|a chinscratch...]
Some sort of distant relative of the Pyroviles, only not so fiery and a lot more watery. I dunno what the locals ended up calling it in the end, but it made for a good folk story.
A hero in training, eh? Well I never. So what's your name, Mr. Hero-in-training?
[He laughs] Lately, I kinda have been attacked a lot by them. Nothin' I can't handle though!
The Doctor? You don't have a name? [o.O]
Well, you gotta learn how to fight and the time it takes to master that depends on the person. After that, there's the Games which helps bring recognition but honestly? It's when you've done something good for the people and the people see it and are happy, I think.
Sounds like you have a bit of a monster infestation, then. Does that make you pest control? [He grins]
Nah, the Doctor is my name. Well, or a nickname, I suppose, but I've been using it so long it might as well be my name by now.
Hmm. Makes sense to me. After all, it's what people think of you and what you've done that really makes you a hero or not, at least superficially. After that it's your intentions and your heart.

[He returns the grin and nodded]
Yeah! Have you been there?

Oh, have I ever. I've dropped in there once or twice. At various points in history too, I might add.

[Oh dear, you got Zack excited, dear Doctor.]

[Beat.] Hang on, you know the Hercules?

Nice to meet you, Zack, I'm the Doctor. So how long does it take to train to be a hero, then?
