I'm a banshee; it's something you're born with if you're a woman in my family, goes back far too many generations now.

And there's lots of magic, you just have to know where to look for it.

So it's a hereditary thing. What exactly can you do? Is it like banshee folklore where you can tell when someone's going to die or something else?

Partly like the folklore; the day before someone is due to die you feel it and you just know where to go. It's just a [she waves her hands in the air vaguely, trying to find a word but she can't] tug I guess. You know where to go and you go there. We have magic too, things the folklore probably doesn't tell you about - it never says much about us being able to turn into forms associated with The Morrígan after all.

Do you just let them die or try to do something about it? [Not judging, just wondering.]

[Mythology neeeerd] Like a crow?

What's written is written and cannot be changed.

[She nods and smiles.]

Or an eel, a wolf or a cow.

Turning into a wolf would be cool. Or an eel if you need to go underwater for a long time. But why would you want to change into a cow?

Cows are symbols of fertility. It's one of the forms The Morrígan took.
