[ The PORTAL turns on facing away from Rebecca, the morning light filtering in through the window. At first, that's all there is, though there's a rustling sound a bit later. Rebecca is asleep, and apparently, she's dreaming.
Her headphones are still on, but they've slipped down off her ears in her sleep. Her fingers are twitching, her whole body trembling slightly; whatever the dream is, it isn't a happy one. It's hard to see her face, however; the position of the PORTAL and the fact that she's burrowed her face into a pillow is obscuring most of it from view.
From somewhere off-camera, there's a thumping noise. In her sleep, Rebecca twists.
Another thump. A slight whimper, this time -- one she'll never admit to when she's awake.
Suddenly, there's a flash of something large and black diving for the bed. Rebecca wakes up with a scream and twists, falling to the floor, though she quickly recovers into a defensive position--
Only to realize that a large, black Newfoundland is looking down at her from the bed, head tilted to one side as if to ask what she's doing down there in nothing but a tanktop and shorts when she should be petting him. ]
Ollie!
[ Standing back up, Rebecca laughs, banishing any thought of her nightmare to hug the dog and flop back onto the bed with him. ]
