So, for four agonizingly boring days, I was in the hospital for what seemed like a "mysterious" illness.
Of course, all the nurses and doctors who remembered me were going nuts because they thought Lucas was waking up and wreaking havoc on me.
It turned out I had a UTI (that was the main surprise) and a minor case of bronchitis.
The most surprising, though, was that my heart rate was rapid. They called a local cardiologist to examine me.
Initially, he thought it was nothing, and the heartbeat was from the low-grade fever I had.
Well, my ecocardiogram (heart ultrasound) turned out that my heart being able to pump blood was weak. So, he sent me off to MGH for a MRI to see if Lucas was really causing damage.
Three words: I. HATE. THAT. MRI. MACHINE. Okay, so it was five. Shut up xP
Mind you, it's not that it's an enclosed space. It wasn't because of the metal "ribcage" on my chest. It wasn't even the breathing I had to do for the images. IT TOOK A MILLENIA TO DO!!
Well, two hours, but still.
It turns out the MRI is showing no signs of Lucas being a bitch at all. He thinks my lupus meds are the culprit. So, I'm off them until they piece together the blood work, the ecocardiogram, and the MRI images.
So, I'm down to...three medicines and two vitamins.
Lisinopril (high blood pressure)
Diovan (high blood pressure)
Copeg (heart)
Calcium (vitamin)
Folic Acid (vitamin)
Joy of joys...I spent 3/4 of my vacation in the hospital to find out I was sick like a normal person. -_-
