I don't understand how people can only want to surround themselves with people just like them. How dull. How about some diversity? And I am not even talking about how one dresses or what music one listens to. Those things are insignificant anyway. I am talking about people's choices, opinions, lifestyles, beliefs. The qualities that are supposed to define you as an individual. As your own unique being. And here are these people trying to seek out other people exactly like themselves, or mold people into being like them. Why? Why can't people be themselves? Why do they have to be like you, or they are insignificant or inferior? Is that a reflection of how you feel about yourself? Are you that insecure in your own beliefs, that you have to be surrounded by them at all times? Sure, I love opinions and discussions and intelligent debates. But when you choose to only forcefully project yourself and belittle others, that is exactly when you cease your own growth. The funniest people claim to be "open-minded". Really. I chuckle.
Teach me something. Don't just tell me I'm wrong.
