So, for the first time in my life, I actually have put the effort forward to try and lose weight. And much to my surprise, it's kind of working. Granted, I have only been at it since last Monday (week.5), but I have lost something like ten pounds, maybe more like eight--I'm not sure how accurate the scale we have is. I've been primarily cutting snacking and for most days replaced a meal with a salad. I thought it would be difficult, and believe me, I have yet to cut out sweets, but I'm finding this whole thing completely manageable. Especially when I discovered how fucking delicious fruit goes with salad, well mostly balsamic vinaigrette. My total goal is to loose 30 pounds by Christmas. And then we'll see from there. All I know is that I actually weigh what is says on my license. That number wasn't true when I got it... :D
