Leeteuk POV
I found out why Kangin didn't want to come to the hospital. He owed over 1210900 Won ($1000) from previous medical procedures. This obviously wasn't the first time he lost a fight. He needed surgery, but they wouldn't give it to him unless his bills were paid. I reluctantly dug out my school fund card. I had been saving up money for a proper college education for a while now, and i almost had enough for a full years tuition, but now that I paid for his medical bills, I was set almost back to where I was almost a year ago.
He was lucky I was falling for him. I wouldn't have paid that amount for anyone else.
"Teukie-Hyung," Sungmin said quietly, tapping my shoulder. I turned toward him trying to look unmiserable. He looked like he had something horrible to say. Like he was hiding something.
"What is it, Sungmin?" I asked, my voice tired. Ryeowook came up behind Sungmin and wrapped his arms around his waist.
"You do know who did this right?" Sungmin said carefully. I didn't catch a good look at the guy who Sungmin pulled off of Kangin because I was too worried about Kangin.
"Yeah, the same person that beat him up last time. The same one that stole his noona." I glanced over at HyeJin as she slept in one of the chairs across the room. She obviously still cared about Kangin, or she would have stayed with the other guy.
"Yes, of course its him. But do you know who it was. Their name." He said. Did he knew? Why did the guys name matter?
"No, Sungmin why...?" I asked, trying to figure out why he thought this was so important. We were supposed to be worrying about Kangin right now, hoping he'll come out alright and all he could worry about was this guy's name.
"Hyung, it was Siwon." Did I hear him right? Siwon? No, it couldn't be, he was supposed to be back in China. He was supposed to be in jail. How?
"Siwon?" I asked. He had to have gotten him mixed up with someone. "Are you sure Sungmin? Siwon is in China."
"Leeteuk, I'm more sure about this than anything. I called him by his name and he responded. He acted just like the Siwon that I met two years ago." Sungmin said. I looked to Ryeowook, surely he must have gotten a good look at him before I got there. He had to know, he'd met Siwon many times before.
"Hyung, Sungmin's telling the truth. It was Siwon." Ryeowook said softly, pity in his eyes. Anger welled up in me, making my blood boil. I hardly ever got angry, even when it came to Siwon, but I had had enough.
He was the reason I couldn't go to college. He was the reason my parents used all their money to bail him out of jail, only for him to end up in there again. Siwon, my own brother, was the reason that Kangin was in critical condition right now, getting prepped for surgery.
First, he had begged my parents to use all their money, the money they were helping save up for me to get a proper education, to get him out of jail. He had promised them that he was changed, that he wasn't doing stupid stuff anymore. But yet, a month later he was in jail again, with an even worse charge against him. I couldn't take seeing my parents suffering over him so I left and got an apartment with my best friends in high school and started to raise my own money for college.
Now, because of him, I had to once again use my money for something that he did. I had to give up my plans for college to fix one of his mistakes.
This was the first time in my life that I've ever wanted to hurt someone.
As I tried to calm down, I say HyeJin wake up and pull out her cellphone.
"Oppa, can you come get me. I'm sorry. I know, I'm sorry. I just worry about him. I know I shouldn't. I know. You're the only one I love. I promise. I'm in the 2nd floor waiting room. Ye. Saranghaeyo, Siwon."
"Yah!" I said, walking over to her. "You shouldn't be with that worthless jerk Siwon." She gave me a once over and scoffed, laughing.
"Who are you to judge. You don't know Siwon. You don't know me. Don't try to tell me what to do." Her voice was bored, as was she. She didn't want to be here. She only came here because she felt that she had to. She felt that she had to care about someone who was hurt.
"I know Siwon better than anyone in this room." I threatened. She raised her eyebrows.
"Really now? And how's that?" she asked.
"He's my brother."
"Siwon doesn't have a brother." She said, unsure. Her eyes were hesitant now.
"Seems like Siwon hasn't told you a lot." I smirked. "Has he told you about how he's got two felony charges against him? And how I've bailed him out both times?" She was speechless now. She obviously wasn't aware of his past and he was probably hiding a lot more of it than she knew.
"Well, He probably hasn't gotten around to telling me yet." She said, her voice still unsure. She was trying to convince herself, not me. She didn't want to be lied to, betrayed.
"Yeah, or he just wasn't going to tell you." I spat. She was so naive. He was feeding her lies and she was taking them even if she knew that they weren't true.
"You don't the Siwon I do. He's a good guy." She pleaded, her voice on the edge of giving up.
"That's right little brother, you don't know me."
I turned around to see Siwon leaning against the waiting room door, a huge evil smirk on his face. He pushed off the doorway and walked over to me.
"Leeteuk, how have you been? I haven't seen you in a while. How's college, I supposed you're enrolled?" The way he voice curled around the word college, made me know he was teasing me. And because of that little sentence I snapped.
He was on the floor holding his nose, which was already starting to gush blood, before I realized that I had hit him. I kneeled down and smiled at him as he glared at me over his hand.
"Look's like we have a lot of catching up to do, Siwon-sshi."I spat, before turning to Sungmin and Ryeowook, who looked downright shocked.
"Let's get out of here. The sight of him makes me sick."
