The to-do list I'll never get around to
Too. Many. AUs. I am the world's biggest fan of AUs and I CANNOT WRITE THEM because there is one AU that needs writing and I am already almost 6k words into it and I have a lot of things to say in it and it's got its claws right in me and won't let go hell yes. On the other hand: Fuck my life. I need more hours in a day or I need to have a bigger brain or failing that I need to clone myself.
So: list of AUs I want to write and need to write and cannot write just now. *hangs head*
The one I call Michael's Verse - which would be set to songs like Franz Ferdinand's Michael and Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger and involves motorbikes, Charles and Erik being teenagers in love, smoking, lots of dancing, and happy giddy kisses.
The one I call Cyberverse - which is basically Charles as a cyborg in the world of Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex. Because he totally apprenticed under Kusanagi Motoko, and he would kick major ass if it meant getting his sister back, if it meant having Erik at his side.
The one I call Silver Cage - which is the story I had where a boy named Charles Xavier manages to find his way to Japan in the modern day, and falls in with the Shopkeeper, a strange man who grants wishes. This would be my xxxHolic crossover, yeah. I actually started this one, but I couldn't figure out how to actually keep it under 10k, so I've stopped writing it for now.
The one I call The Other Side of Blue - which is going to be basically a dark!Charles story, the one in which he quietly went over to the Dark Side and no one knows, not because he's fucking with everyone's minds, but because he's just naturally that devious.
The one I call Space Pilots in Love - which is basically exactly what it says on the tin. The one in which Charles and Erik are basically rival hot-shot space fighter pilots in love, and in which Sean is the best mechanic in the universe and that's a good thing because his boyfriend Alex keeps crashing shit.
Oh, and there was a fic in which Charles's and Erik's lives kept intersecting - girl!Charles as a geisha and Erik as the gaijin she dances for, once; girl!Erik stows away on a ship and gives her life for Charles who is the son of the captain; Erik is a medic and stitches up Charles and Charles goes back into the war and then dies and leaves all his stuff to Erik - and I haven't even gotten my head completely around that, what the fuck.
