Lady Luck!
Okay, so I literally have not posted in forever. Don't feel bad cause any attempt at blogging that I have ever made has turned out to be completely useless. But, every now and then I get sucked back into it cause of all those lovely icons people make. Honestly, I can't keep up with graphic design anymore. I try to use my free time to write these days. Speaking of free time, I really don't have any. This summer I have been interning at a major production company in Los Angeles. The internship ends in two weeks and until today I have been biting my nails contemplating my next move. I sent out resumes and have been sitting waiting for the phone to ring and I tell you, it's true what they say - when you stop waiting for something to happen, it happens. I got a call from one of the companies I applied to. It wasn't my first choice but it's a really major company so I told them I would call right before I accepted. After unsuccessfully trying to get a hold of my first choice, I decided I need to snatch up the opportunity I was offered before it went to someone else. And then I got a major lesson in "THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON". To make this long story short, I was offered a position as an assistant to this highly regarded manager. I really respect a lot of his clients and so I was shocked and very happy to have the opportunity. So yayyy! It has turned to be a VERY good day. Anyway, until I start there I must continue to kick ass at my current internship. And while I am not paid persay, I think I am going to love the look of my resume once I graduate. Bottom line - in order to stay in LA, you have to be able to pay for LA. Which, as I am learning, is a lot easier said than done. And on that little anecdote, I am going to get back to work. I'll blog again when something else interesting happens in my life.
