So yeah...DermaBlend
So a bunch of people told me how awesome Dermablend is! and how it will even out my skin completely!
Well.
Did not Work.
Fuck my life.
Lets start from the beginning!
At Otakon, during a random cosplay panel, some person asked about makeup. As I have scars all over my forehead and side of face, I listened up. The person hoting the panel started talking about Dermablend and how it will over pretty much everything, including tattoos.
So then I looked it up, and all the pictures on this sites have people with red scarred skin to PERFECT or Tattoos to PERFECT. Now it looked too good to be true! 'That has to be photo shopped' I thought.
I asked other people that have used online and real life and everyone gave me the same 'It wonderful! It will cover and fill everything Best makeup I've ever used!'
So I really wanted to try it, thinking it would be a good solutions to a lot of my problems.
Obviously I wasn't going to just order it and guess my skin color, so I had to look up where it is sold.
Macy's.
Well after going to Macy's after Macy's and most of the places were 'uhhhh what the fuck is that?' I looked it up and found out the only place is the one in downtown crossing.
Well when I went to school I found out I have about......no free time to casually stroll down to Macy's and check it out.
Well I got my chance today as it was mi familias years reunion with people and Umass alumni ( random group)
Whilst Mi Padre was busy tricking the waiter to give him free drinks ( he succeeded......a lot )
Mi Madre and I went so I could try it.
I asked the person there to help me find my color and and apply is and such. I was rteally excited!
then I got a mirror.
Nothing was differnet.
Really.
It works the same as my $10 makeup that only lasts like an hour before it ABSORBS into my skin.
Quite unhappy and shocked that I did not work I asked to see if the conceler would work.
It did!
for 5 minutes!
then it was the surface of the moon again!
Ok ok how about the body and tatto stuff?! thats the strongest right?!
no differenc.
Also my skin color is so weird apprently they had to mix two colros to get it. Yeah, even if it worked i don;t think I could deal with that on a regualr basis.
So DermaBlend, which was supposed to be amazing and even out my skin completely like fucking gesso pr plaster did not work.
I don;t really have any other options left.
We tried a fucking plethora or creams for years, we tried mirco-dermabrasion, Fraxel Lazer surgery ( which was very expensive. like it was my 2008 birthday, 2008 Christmas, and 2009 Birthday presents. )
Ok theres 3 things left becasue the makeup that was supposed to help did not.
Chemical peel.
Which a palstic surgon told m would probably do nothing for me
Dermabrasion which they re really not uh...pushing for due to the fact the down time is almost a month and the risk of infection is pretty high. It also might not work!
annnnd Skin Graft plastic surgey.
Because I have enough money for that
and the only thing that is guaranteed to actually work is option 3.
fml.
I don't know what to do anymore. after someone told me my 'burn makeup' looked really realistic, when I simply wasn't wearing makeup It bothered me more and more.
the stuff I use now I have to put on in the morning, wash the GOO it produces off my face at around noon and then maybe apply it again at night.
I say GOO becasue itj ust ABSORBS into my skin and makes it SHINY AND NOTICEABLE. AWESOME
