Thoughts & Questions to whomever wants to participate
I've been thinking lately...
I talked to my friends about me possibly going to Creation LA this year for the whole weekend.
I'm unemployed hence i don't have alot of money to spend but part of me dreamed a little dream about going as a Gold Ticket holder but when i saw the prices, reality set it. It was 500+ for a ticket this year. My RENT is 500 dollars.
As much as i love the boys, i'm not spending all that money. I've never had the gold experience so i'll never know what i've been missing so it's not skin off my back but then that got me thinking..
Why do people spend sooo much money at Cons? I get that it's once in a lifetime and if it is the only con you're going to then you should go all out but i hear off all these people going to EVERY SINGLE CONVENTION and i wonder, where are they getting all this money from and why are they spending thousands on these conventions?
I get going to one and getting all the pictures but getting 10 or more of one person baffles me expecially when an individual picture with the boys can be upto 100 dollars.. that's alot of money.
I'm not judging when i ask this, i just really wonder why people do it.
I've only been to 3 of them and 2 were international so they were less money than Creation is. Sure they had their faults but atleast they didn't overcharge for everything.
And then today my friend told me that some of her friends are in DEBT because of this.. because of them going to cons. I just don't understand why someone would do this. That seems sooo extreme.
So my question is, what do you think?
