well, statistically speaing only 5% of abuse victims (In marraiges) are male the other 95% are female. this doesnt mean that YOU are bad or MALES are bad, its just that this gender happens to be the vast majority of abusers not abusees.
I think the stereotypes of women are still terrible and shallow and demean the female sex. Women are still looked at for their bodies, not their intelligence, and they are always the caregivers, the meal cookers, and the cleaners. I think men should be shown as fathers (competent fathers, since they are basically always potrayed as the father that was accidentally left with the kid, while the wife went out shopping and all hell breaks loose until she returns) I want to see women being powerful with out using sexuality and men being sensitive without being "gay" along with men being loving and wonderful fathers and women being intelligent and perhaps the head of some corporation.
I dont think you are any less smart or any less strong. I think our society uses these stereotypes to exacerbate gender as it has been portrayed (by pop culture) in the past. Which means its going to be harder to break the mold.
