(no subject)
Well, looks like it's a family I picked holiday. My brothers won't come (Jacob says it's because I can't cook-won't coat everything with tons of salt... And we're obviously starving as a result of my cooking), mom is mad at me so that means Paul and mom won't come (mom is mad because her-and my!- friend sharons daughter wants Kiernan to have sharons piano... So she can learn to play! Mom wants it as a glorified coffee table.)
Because mom and Paul are not coming, Barb won't come...which means her whole crew won't be here. Whatever.
Tiffany wants me to pick her up at 6:30. Randa and Daniel will be here around 3:30 to help me finish cooking. Annie and David are coming... Looks like that'll be all.
And I know, that's 6 big people and two children... But I'm kind of meh about the whole thing.
I've got five pumpkin pies, two sweet potato pies, two peanut butter pies, two chocolate peanut butter pies, and frog eye salad. I've got a 17 pound bird, a 9 pound ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, biscuits, broccoli casserole, green bean casserole, stuffing, deviled eggs, homemade cranberry sauce, apple casserole, and 7 layer salad.
I guess I can scale back the amounts of each thing. :-/ I planned the menu, shopped, and prepped yesterday for 12 adults and at least 3 kids...
We'll see...
